Head of Product Marketing
Head of Product Marketing
Valant is a market-leading EHR and practice management platform built exclusively for behavioral health. We support ~3,000 practices across the US, helping clinicians reduce administrative burden, run more efficient businesses, and spend more time with patients. The market is large, underpenetrated, and we’re growing at 20%+. We’re building the team to match the opportunity.
As Head of Product Marketing, you will own how Valant is positioned, launched, and sold. Reporting directly to the CMO, this is the role for someone who wants to be the connective tissue between product, sales, and market.
What You'll Do
Own Valant's product positioning and messaging across all segments, ensuring every buyer-facing surface reflects a clear, differentiated value proposition.
Lead monthly product launches end-to-end for a growing product portfolio. You run the GTM brief, align cross-functional stakeholders, and ensure every launch drives measurable pipeline and expansion impact.
Build and maintain a competitive intelligence program that monitors competitor moves, pricing changes, product updates, and review site activity — and translates those signals into updated battlecards, positioning adjustments, and sales guidance.
Own sales enablement infrastructure: battlecards, objection-handling guides, one-pagers, and demo talk tracks. You partner with Sales and Customer Success to understand where deals are won and lost, and you build the materials that shift that ratio.
Hire, lead and develop a small, high-accountability team.
Own and activate a robust agent layer to extend the team’s capabilities.
Develop and maintain deep ICP knowledge across Valant's buyer archetypes, and translate that knowledge into segment-specific messaging and campaign strategy.
Partner with the Head of Growth Marketing on campaign briefs, segment targeting, and channel messaging to ensure demand programs are grounded in accurate positioning and buyer insight.
Partner with Product leadership on roadmap prioritization input, launch sequencing, and market feedback loops. Bring the voice of the buyer into product decisions.
Success in Year 1 Looks Like
Positioning Locked and Deployed — A clear, segment-specific positioning framework in place across the ICP, reflected consistently across the website, sales decks, and demand programs.
Launch Engine Operational — Every 2026 product launch executed against a consistent GTM framework with measurable pipeline and expansion outcomes tracked per launch.
Sales Enablement Current and Used — Battlecards, objection guides, and one-pagers refreshed regularly and actively used by the sales team.
Competitive Intelligence Running Continuously — Weekly competitive digest delivered to Sales and Marketing leadership.
Agent Layer Operational — Foundation Marketing Agents activated and running. Human-in-the-loop workflows established for competitive intel, launch briefs, and sales enablement output.
