Implementation Manager
Implementation Manager
Now more than ever, our world needs mental health professionals. Day in and day out, they’re doing their best to provide exceptional care to an increasing number of patients. But they’re working with generic or simplistic tools that limit their potential and growth. We want to change all that — by giving behavioral health organizations everything they need to thrive.
Valant is an established market-leading, software-as-a-service organization serving the unique needs of the behavioral healthcare industry. Our purpose is to make our world a mentally healthier place and we’re seeking enthusiastic, passionate individuals to join us as we transform the industry! If that sounds like you, we’d like to hear from you.
What You’ll Do
As an Implementation Manager, you are the reason a practice goes live and thrives on Valant. You own the full implementation lifecycle for 20–25 small and solo behavioral health practices simultaneously, from contract signature through a successful go-live and handoff to Customer Success. Your work is the bridge between a new customer’s decision to choose Valant and their long-term success with the platform.
Own the end-to-end implementation lifecycle for a book of 20–25 concurrent small and solo practice accounts, serving as the primary point of contact from contract signature through go-live and Customer Success handoff.
Lead kickoff calls that set clear expectations for the 30-day implementation window, confirm all contractual deliverables, and establish shared accountability with the customer from day one.
Execute the Basics Call as a hands-on, structured working session — not a demo. Every customer leaves that call with core account setup complete and the ability to schedule a patient.
Guide customers through Valant configuration, training, and best practices, tailoring your approach to each practice’s unique workflows and clinical context.
Monitor project health across your full book, identify risks early, and de-escalate concerns proactively — bringing patterns and blockers to leadership before they become crises.
Maintain thorough, up-to-date documentation in TaskRay and Salesforce throughout every project, keeping the full team informed and handoffs clean.
Collaborate across Sales, Provisioning, SMEs, Support, and Customer Success to keep implementations moving and ensure each practice arrives at go-live fully operational.
Develop and maintain deep behavioral health industry knowledge to credibly advise customers and stay current on product updates, billing workflows, and platform best practices.
Deliver customer webinars on software functionality and implementation best practices as needed.
The Skills & Experience You Bring
Required
1+ years in SaaS implementation, onboarding, or customer-facing project management, with experience managing multiple concurrent projects.
Demonstrated ability to manage 20+ active projects simultaneously — clear personal system for tracking timelines, tasks, and deliverables across a large book of accounts.
Strong customer communication skills: confident, professional, and clear in both written and verbal interactions, with the ability to manage expectations across a 30-day window.
Experience guiding customers through software setup and configuration in a consultative, best-practice-driven way.
Documentation discipline: consistent and thorough activity logging throughout every project in CRM and project management tools.
Proactive mindset: you identify risks early, flag them, and show up with a proposed path forward.
Ability to hold customers accountable to timelines and next steps while maintaining a positive, professional relationship.
Change management mindset: proactively supports customers through transition with patience, clarity, and confidence.
Comfort operating in a dynamic, fast-moving environment where no two customers are the same.
Preferred
Healthcare or behavioral health industry experience; EHR or health tech background a strong plus.
Familiarity with behavioral health workflows, billing, and insurance concepts in a clinical context.
Experience with Salesforce and TaskRay or similar CRM and project management tools.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
Project management certification (PMP, CAPM, or similar).
Success in Year 1 Looks Like…
You manage a book of 20–25 active implementations, consistently launching 30% of WIP monthly at an NPS of 80 or above.
Every implementation closes within the 30-day window per Valant’s terms, with customers fully operational at go-live — not just technically configured.
Your Basics Call is a working session, not a walkthrough. Every customer leaves it with core setup complete and ready to schedule their first patient.
You hand off to Customer Success with well-configured, operationally confident practices that are set up to grow with Valant long-term — not practices that need to be rescued.
