Product Marketer
Product Marketer at Valant: translate complex health software into buyer-ready value, power enablement, competitive intelligence, and launch assets that help behavioral health pros thrive.
Product Marketer
Now more than ever, our world needs mental health professionals. Day in and day out, they’re doing their best to provide exceptional care to an increasing number of patients. But, they’re working with generic or simplistic tools that limit their potential and growth. We want to change all that – by giving behavioral health organizations everything they need to thrive.
Valant is an established market-leading, software-as-a-service organization serving the unique needs of the behavioral healthcare industry. Our purpose is to make our world a mentally healthier place and we’re seeking enthusiastic, passionate individuals to join us as we transform the industry! If that sounds like you, we’d like to hear from you.
This Product Marketer position is a hands-on operator role. You’ll execute against an existing competitive framework and messaging architecture — building the assets, keeping them current, and making sure Sales has what they need when they need it. You won’t be inventing positioning from scratch; you’ll be the person who turns it into usable output, fast and reliably.
What You’ll Do
Own sales enablement execution: build and maintain battlecards, messaging guides, objection-handling docs, and deal-support materials aligned to our buyer personas — when Sales asks “do we have something for X,” the answer is yes, or done within days.
Own competitive intelligence operations: track competitor moves, pricing changes, and positioning shifts, and keep competitive assets current on a regular cadence, briefing Sales when something material changes.
Support product launches: execute launch-readiness materials (FAQs, one-pagers, internal briefs, sales talk tracks) for monthly new modules and releases, working cross-functionally with Product, Sales, and Customer Marketing.
Track what’s working: monitor usage and adoption of enablement materials and flag what’s not landing with Sales or the market.
Maintain brand consistency: keep all materials aligned with brand voice and messaging standards.
What You’ll Need
Required
2–5 years of product marketing, sales enablement, or competitive intelligence experience in SaaS.
Demonstrated experience building a sales enablement asset (battlecard, one-pager, objection guide, or similar) and evidence of how you knew it worked.
Strong written communication — able to turn technical product detail into buyer-facing value language.
Comfort executing against an established framework at speed, and juggling sales requests, competitive updates, and launch deadlines simultaneously.
Cross-functional instinct — works well with Product, Sales, and Customer Marketing without needing heavy oversight.
Preferred
Experience in healthcare, healthcare IT, or a regulated industry — behavioral health, healthcare SaaS, or EHR/PM software is ideal.
Comfortable operating with ambiguity and limited structure in a growing, resource-lean environment.
Active, hands-on use of AI tools in day-to-day competitive intelligence or enablement workflows.
Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, or a related field — or equivalent demonstrated experience.
Success in Year 1 Looks like...
Sales Enablement Reliably Current – battlecards, objection guides, and one-pagers for every active persona are refreshed on a defined cadence and actively pulled by Sales without prompting.
Competitive Intelligence Running as a System – a recurring competitive monitoring cadence is in place, with Sales and Marketing leadership briefed on material moves as they happen.
Launch Support Executed Reliably – every monthly product launch has FAQ, one-pager, and talk-track materials ready at launch, produced cross-functionally with Product, Sales, and Customer Marketing.
